Qi Gong for Stress and Anxiety

While stress is an inevitable part of modern life, in these unpredictable times, many people are feeling particularly overloaded and anxious about the future.

A build-up of stress over time depletes us of vital energy and wears us down physically, mentally and emotionally.

The good news is that both stress and anxiety can be greatly alleviated once you know how to work with your life-force energy or "Qi".

In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn how to clear away stale, stagnant, unhealthy energy and regain your natural state of inner balance and tranquility.

You’ll practice breathing exercises and gentle flowing movements to calm your nervous system, and learn about healing sounds and acupressure points to help clear emotional tension.

You’ll go away with tools and techniques to help you respond to life's stressors from a calmer, more grounded centre, so that you no longer feel 'controlled' by external circumstances, people and events.

Come along and discover how to recharge your batteries with just a few minutes of practice each day, so that you can live your life with more joy and more inner peace.

No prior Qi Gong experience is necessary.

Kerrie Womersley is the owner of Find Yourself Qigong & Coaching. As a Certified Advanced Holden Qi Gong Teacher, she has trained extensively with the internationally renowned Qi Gong expert, Lee Holden. ABOUT THE VENUE:

The workshop will be held in the The Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre which is part of the Tanks Art Centre Complex at 46 Collins Ave. Walk around the back of the Cafe/Gift Shop, and you'll find us in the 'mirrored' room next to the Toilets. Free Parking is available in Collins Ave and surrounding streets.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:

Active wear or comfortable clothing suitable for gentle movement. Bring your own yoga mat (if you have one) and a water bottle.

Mats are available to borrow on request.

OUR COVID-SAFE PLAN:

🌿 The restricted class size ensures that all participants are spaced at a “Covid-safe” distance apart.

🌿 Hand sanitiser is provided and everyone is asked to use it upon entry and exit.

🌿 Sanitised exercise mats are available, but please bring your own if possible.

🌿 The water filter at the venue will not be available so participants should bring their own water.

🌿 The instructor teaches through demonstration and verbal cues and does not perform physical adjustments (i.e. there is no touching).

🌿 As we continue to practice social-distancing, we request that you please refrain from hugging, hand-shaking and gathering less than 1.5 metres apart before and after the workshop.

🌿 Please do not attend if you feel unwell, have travelled overseas or to a Covid hotspot within Australia, or come in contact with a Covid-positive individual in the last 14 days or someone who is awaiting test results.
