Millions of people around the world practice Qigong (pronounced chee gong) for stress-relief, healing, self-awareness, emotional balance and vibrant health.

If you're curious to know what Qigong is all about, and how it can help you live a happier, calmer, more-aligned life, this introductory workshop is for you.

Easier than most forms of yoga, and simpler than Tai Chi, Qigong does not require strength, flexibility, or complex co-ordination. However, as a "side-effect" of Qi Gong practice, you become stronger and more flexible!

Qi Gong combines slow, flowing movements with breath-work, mindfulness and intention.

Rather than focusing on 'what you look like' or on the external 'accomplishment' of its forms, Qigong is an internal, individual experience of the ‘Qi' or ' life-force energy' that flows through and all around you.

Participants will receive a handout with descriptions of the key exercises and get one month's access to a short video routine. You'll also have the option of joining ongoing classes face-to-face and/or online.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Kerrie Womersley is the owner of Find Yourself Qigong & Coaching. She is a Certified Advanced Holden Qi Gong Teacher, and has trained extensively with the internationally renowned Master Lee Holden. Kerrie teaches a modern, easy-to-follow, principles-based style of Qigong.

ABOUT THE VENUE:

The workshop will be held in the The Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre which is part of the Tanks Art Centre Complex at 64 Collins Ave. Walk around the back of the Cafe/Gift Shop, and you'll find us in the 'mirrored' room next to the Toilets. Free Parking is available in Collins Ave and surrounding streets.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:

Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for gentle movement and bring a water bottle and a yoga/exercise mat. (If you’d like to borrow a mat, please let Kerrie know prior to the day.)
